Title

Welcome to IHM's World Of Music program. This year grades 5-8 examine the world of American Composers. Music clubs include Bell, Choir grades 5-8, and Choir grades 3-4. Grades 1-4 are using the Music Express Magazine, and Pre-K and K are learning their Calendar Songs.

Students will be welcomed at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in a nurturing Christian community where educators, students, staff and parents will work together showing mutual respect for one another. As a community of learners, we will foster high expectations and excellence in teaching to create an environment in which all students will achieve to the best of their ability. The ultimate goal is to encourage life-long learning through Christ-centered education.

IHM World of Music Grades 5-8

We begin this year with a brief investigation of pitch, one of the six elements of music.

Our year of the American Composer begins with Stephen Foster, Victor Herbert in America, and Scott Joplin.

Grades 1-4 are expanding their knowledge of the Music Issue and exploring the Music Express Magazines. This issue's featured composer is Irving Berlin.

Kinderegarten and PreK are building their Calendar Song Collection.

We are off to a super start!!!
